A Journey of Faith: The Inspiring Story of Bethel SDA Church and Its New Building

In 1980, the Bethel SDA Church embarked on a remarkable journey, purchasing five acres of land that would become the foundation for something truly special. By 1981, the dream transformed into reality as members witnessed a miraculous construction process that united the community and solidified their faith.

Under the visionary leadership of Pastor Leroy Phillips, a new chapter began with a strong emphasis on Christian education. His dedication inspired the creation of a vibrant church school, fostering a nurturing environment for the next generation.

As the church continued to grow, Pastor Gilbert Williams took the helm and launched an ambitious capital expansion program. His vision aimed to establish a multi-purpose building that would not only house the church school but also serve as a gathering place for various community activities. This dream brought excitement and anticipation to the Bethel family.

Then came January 1, 2000—a day of triumph! The Bethel Adventist Church community, along with friends and supporters, gathered to celebrate the grand opening of their stunning new multi-purpose building and church school. This moment was more than a milestone; it was a testament to their faith and perseverance, officially named the Coopwood Educational Building in honor of Dr. William E. Coopwood.

Today, the Bethel Adventist Church School thrives, thanks to dedicated teachers who are passionate about instilling not just academic excellence but also Christian values in their students. The school is fully accredited and proudly offers education from kindergarten through 8th grade, nurturing young minds to grow in faith and knowledge.

As Bethel SDA Church looks to the future, the new building stands as a beacon of hope and community spirit, embodying the vision and dreams that started decades ago. Join us in celebrating this incredible journey and the bright future that lies ahead!
